The Durban Filmmakers Guild was formed by filmmakers to enable a sustainable industry providing employment prospects for members which, includes all media, such as film, television, documentaries, news, sports, commercials, animation, new media and actors thereby creating and sustaining a skilled workforce and becoming a natural destination for filmmakers. To further serve as an industry lobby in defence of the establishment of fair and equitable relationships with trade and funding.
Now more than ever we need to talk to each other, to listen to each other and understand how we see the world, and cinema is the best medium for doing this.
